Husk, Where Refinement Meets Responsibility

With Husk, we set out to create a lighting collection defined by clarity, restraint and longevity. Not by trend or ornament, but by the strength of its materials and the integrity of its design.

The collection includes a pendant, wall sconce and floor light, each one exploring contrast and careful resolution. At the centre of the design is a biodegradable shade made from micropulp, a material composed of waste paper and hemp, fabricated by Byron Bay-based Zeoform. The micropulp behaves like clay during forming and finishes with the machinability of timber, allowing us to apply our understanding of tactile materials while adapting to the challenges it introduced.

The micropulp shade is paired with artisan-formed slumped glass, a deliberate contrast between the experimental and the traditional. Glass, long associated with value and architectural permanence, reframes the humble origins of the recycled shade, giving it weight and presence.

Internally, each component was developed to support disassembly, servicing and return. New in-house processes were introduced to ensure the system could be maintained over time, staying true to cradle-to-cradle design thinking.

The result is lighting that feels resolved and purposeful. Soft, sculptural forms balance sustainability with a refined, architectural presence. Husk is not just environmentally responsible, it demonstrates how considered design can elevate sustainable outcomes.

The result is a light that feels grounded and confident. Husk does not lead with its sustainability, it earns it through intention.
